Introduction
A rare fungal disease of chickens and turkeys caused by Dactylaria gallopava.
Signs
- Incoordination.
- Tremors.
- Torticollis.
- Circling, recumbency.
Post-mortem lesions
- Necrotic lesions with associated congestion in cerebrum.
- Mycotic lesions in lungs, air sacs etc.
Diagnosis
Lesions, isolation of the fungus.
Treatment
None.
Prevention
Use fresh dry litter (avoid old sawdust).
