Inactivated vaccine in oily adjuvant against Avian Influenza

Composition
The vaccine contains an inactivated H5N9 serotype of Avian Influenza
virus, a preservative, and an oil excipient.
Indication
Preventive vaccination of Poultry against Avian Influenza H5.
Route of administration and dosage
Subcutaneous or intramuscular route.
Local reactions do not occur if vaccine is properly inoculated but traces of oil may be found for some time at injection site.
Advised vaccination programme: it is recommended for use in Broilers, Breeders and Layers according to the following vaccination schedule:
- in Broilers: 7 days of age or younger 0.2 ml is recommended. A
volume of 0.3 ml of vaccine is used for birds older than 7 days
of age.
- in Breeder and Layer Pullets:
* high challenge area: at around 7 days of age, revaccinate with
0.3 ml at 6-8 weeks of age and 2-4 weeks before the expected
onset of lay.
* low challenge area: vaccinate with 0.3 ml at 4-8 weeks of age
and again 2-4 weeks before the expected onset of lay.
Precautions
- Allow the vaccine to reach room temperature (+20°C) before use.
- Make sure that vaccination equipment is clean and sterilized before
use.
- Shake well before use.
- Avoid intravenous injection.
- Only healthy birds should be vaccinated.
- Inject subcutaneously in the lower part of the neck or intramuscularly
into the breast.
- Do not use syringes with natural rubber-based or butyl-derived
elastomer pistons.
- In case of accidental injection to man, urgent medical attention
is necessary.
Storage
Store between +2�C and +8�C, protected from light. Do not freeze.
Presentation
Bottle of 300 ml (1500 doses Broilers / 1000 doses Breeders or
Layers).
