 During the 1990s the demand for even more breast meat led to development of the Cobb 700 that was introduced in 2001 and following extensive testing in the US is now available worldwide.
The Cobb 700 is aimed at processors supplying the high meat yield, deboning and added value markets - a bird capable of maximizing profits from processing. Commercial tests have demonstrated a one percent gain in breast meat yield over the Cobb 500, with similar feed conversion and broiler growth rates
